The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA)
What is the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act?
The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) provides certain benefits and protections to a Servicemember and their dependents.
Exeter Finance understands the compromises and sacrifices you make for our country as a U.S. Servicemember. As such, we are committed to providing you an SCRA program that provides you the benefits and protections available to you.
To determine if you qualify for SCRA benefits and protections, please notify Exeter of your military orders and/or active duty date.
SCRA benefits with Exeter Finance include:
- An interest rate of 6%
- Protection from repossession of collateral
- No late fee assessments
Exeter identifies potentially eligible Servicemembers using the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC). If we have not identified you as a potentially eligible Servicemember and you believe you are eligible, please contact us at (800) 321-9637 to determine if you qualify.
Must be provided to establish eligibility for protection under the SCRA if we have not or cannot identify your eligibility through the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC)
- Non-contracted spouses or dependents can facilitate the request for SCRA protection on your Exeter Finance accounts, as well by also including a Power of Attorney
